Our Commitment to Families:

Kids Learning App is built exclusively for children ages 3 to 8. We do NOT collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information from children or parents. Your child’s privacy, digital safety, and innocent learning experience are our absolute highest priorities.

1. Introduction & Legal Compliance

Welcome to Kids Learning App (“we”, “our”, or “us”). We are deeply committed to protecting the privacy of young learners and their families. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in our mobile application.

Our application strictly complies with:

  • The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States.
  • The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union (including child consent provisions).
  • The Google Play Families Policy and Developer Program Guidelines.

2. Information We DO NOT Collect

We believe children’s education should be safe, private, and distraction-free. Therefore:

  • No Personal Identifiers: We do NOT collect, solicit, or store names, email addresses, phone numbers, home addresses, photos, or voice recordings.
  • No Account Registration: Children can use the entire educational platform without creating an account or logging in.
  • No Location Tracking: We do NOT access, track, or record GPS or location coordinates.
  • No Advertising Identifier (AAID): We have explicitly stripped the Android Advertising Identifier permission (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID) from our application manifest.
  • No Sensor Access: We never request access to contacts, microphone, camera, or personal device storage files.

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

To provide a smooth and responsive experience, the app retains minimal non-personal operational preferences locally on your child’s device:

  • Sound effects and audio narration toggle (On/Off state).
  • Local quiz progress and star achievements (stored strictly in a local SQLite database).

This data never leaves the device, is never uploaded to external cloud servers, and is permanently deleted if the application is uninstalled.

4. Third-Party Services & Child-Safe Advertising

A. Google AdMob (Google Play Families Self-Certified SDK)

To support ongoing development and keep this learning application free for all families, we display child-friendly advertisements served via Google AdMob—a certified ad provider under Google Play’s Families Policy.

All ad requests are strictly configured with the following safeguards:

  • COPPA Child-Directed Treatment: Every ad request is flagged with TAG_FOR_CHILD_DIRECTED_TREATMENT_TRUE.
  • Under Age of Consent: Flagged with TAG_FOR_UNDER_AGE_OF_CONSENT_TRUE.
  • Maximum Ad Content Rating: All ads are strictly restricted to MAX_AD_CONTENT_RATING_G (suitable for toddlers, kindergarteners, and general audiences).
  • Non-Personalized Ads (npa=1): Behavioral tracking and profiling are completely disabled. Ads are strictly contextual.
  • Frequency Capped: Interstitial placements are limited to natural transition points to avoid accidental clicks or disruptive experiences.

B. Embedded Video Rhymes Player

The app offers an optional nursery rhymes video module embedded via the YouTube player. When streaming video content, YouTube and Google terms apply in compliance with child safety standards.

C. Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)

Firebase Cloud Messaging is utilized solely to deliver occasional non-personalized app update notices and new learning topic announcements. No personal data or user identifiers are collected.
